What is PurNet?

PurNet is not a GPO or a vendor but a partner with its members to enhance its existing materials management department.  Darlene Vortherms created PurNet in 1990.  She has been working in materials management for over 30 years and continues to look for innovative ways to enhance materials management and increase savings for its members.  PurNet has over 200 members and provides services to surgery centers, clinics, hospitals, & multi-specialty clinics across the United States.

PurNet strives to save its members time and money when dealing with products and contracts.

This is why PurNet has two off-site locations that specialize in contract management/compliance & product management.

PurNet’s Contracts Department:

PurNet’s Contract Department alleviates the guesswork when working with the GPO and their contracts.  The contracts department will sign letters of commitment (LOCs’) and manage the contract process on behalf of its members.  This will ensure that:

 

• Correct pricing is loaded correctly for your center on the products that you purchase
• Contracts are connected between the centers, vendors, distributors, and GPO
• Correct GPO connection affiliations are established

Contract management also allows PurNet to negotiate prices at a national level on products used by our members.  This has resulted in an average savings of 28% for PurNet members.

PurNet’s Products Department:

PurNet’s Products Department makes it easy for our members to place orders and handle any other product inquiries that our members may have.  Each PurNet member has one PurNet account representative that they work with.  Their PurNet account representative will, on behalf of our members, handle:

PurNet also sets-up a computerized ordering system so that supplies are ordered as quickly as possible through the use of barcodes, fax, or EDI. This reduces ordering time from hours to minutes.  We understand that time is valuable, and so we want to make sure that you save the most time when working with PurNet.
